Dr Kian joined Denver Nephrology in 2006 after completing his training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. His main area of interest is in dialysis vascular access. After completing his interventional training in Arizona he returned to New York in 2005 and started a successful dialysis access care program for the veterans at VA Bronx. He is certified by American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) in hemodialysis and peritoneal access intervention, and renal ultrasonography. His main focus now is as co-Medical Director of Denver Nephrology’s Vascular Access program at the Colorado Renal Access and Imaging Center.
Dr Kian was born in Tehran, Iran. He completed his schooling and medical education in London, England, and graduated from Guy’s hospital medical school in 1996. He completed his medicine residency in England and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, London). He moved to the United States in 2000 to pursue his medical career. He is married, has one son and is a passionate soccer fan.
